03.07.2020: This wedding was our first brunch wedding and we LOVED it. Despite the fact that we don't like getting up early. This was our last wedding prior to the COVID-19 breakout. The couple hired us to be their month of day of wedding planner. The wedding was located in Ft. Lauderdale at the Pelican Grande. We got to enjoy a beautiful sunrise over the Atlantic Ocean. This was a classic Florida beach wedding!
The day started checking on the bride getting ready in her suite that over looked the ocean. Olga took the detail shots while Crissy and her best friend Wendy drank champagne and got their hair and makeup done.
Jonathan, the groom, arrived a bit later in the morning and had his detail shots done in a beautiful lobby area that you couldn't even tell he wasn't in a private room.
While they did their getting ready photos, we were busy making sure the arch was getting set up on the terrace and that all their personal touches were set in the ballroom.
They had an emotional first look on the beach, where Jonathan read his letter from Crissy. Meanwhile we are off to the side with tissues, a towel and her shoes ready to freshen her up for pictures.
While Crissy and Jonathan finished up pictures, their guests enjoyed Coffee and Coronas on the terrace. Most people opted for Coronas.
Now it was time for ceremony. We had everyone lined up and ready to go. We signaled the fantastic DJ and officiant and they were off.
Our favorite part of the ceremony which we have never seen done before was the exchanging of gifts in this instance roses. It's the first gift given by each other being husband and wife. We will be doing a separate blog post on the rose ceremony at another time so keep checking back.
For the end of the ceremony, they wanted a bubble exit, so we made sure to hand out the bubble wands they provided to all their guests. Also they provided a bubble machine that we held so they would for sure have bubbles at the right moment in the right area. You can see how awesome the picture turned out.
The reception started. Their introduction was fun - they walked in with a big bottle of champagne and popped the cork as they came in the room.
The brunch spread was amazing! The venue really out did themselves with the food spread. The donuts were brought by the groom and we set them up on their mini donut wall.
The day finished around 2 PM with dancing! You wouldn't usually think dancing with a brunch wedding, but these guests were grooving!
As always no wedding is possible without a team of amazing vendors.
